Delicious Protein Coffee (That’s Actually Good for You!)
Let’s be honest—we all love a good iced coffee, but so many of them are packed with sugar and questionable ingredients. Today I’m sharing my go-to way to make a delicious protein coffee that’s simple, satisfying, and far from trashy!
There are a few different ways to make this, and they all start with one key ingredient: a protein shake. My personal favorite? Premier Protein Caramel—it’s creamy, sweet, and tastes amazing with coffee. (Chocolate and vanilla are great options, too!)
Option #1 The Starbucks Hack
This is my absolute favorite way to enjoy protein coffee:
- Order 2 shots of espresso over ice in a venti cup at Starbucks.
- Pour your protein shake right over the espresso.
- Give it a quick stir and boom—you’re done!
It’s ridiculously easy and tastes like a fancy iced latte without the sugar crash.
Option #2 The Javy Coffee Method (aka Coffeehouse Vibes at Home)
If you haven’t tried Javy Coffee Concentrate, you’re missing out! It’s a game-changer. Javy lets you make coffeehouse-style drinks at home for a fraction of the price. Plus, they have tons of fun flavors.
I usually order single bottles so I can try new ones without committing to a subscription (pro tip: you can do that!).
Here’s how I make it:
- Mix 3 teaspoons of Javy with about 1/8 cup of water.
- Stir it up, pour in your protein shake, and enjoy!
That’s it—no brewing, no waiting, just coffee in 30 seconds flat.

Option #3 Classic at-Home Espresso or Brewed Coffee
Another great method:
- Brew a strong cup of coffee or make espresso at home.
- Let it cool (this is key!).
- Pour it over ice and mix in your protein shake.
This method works great, but I’ll admit—I sometimes forget to brew it ahead of time, which usually sends me straight to the Starbucks drive-thru 😅
So there you have it—three super simple ways to make a protein-packed iced coffee that tastes amazing and keeps you going strong. If you give it a try, let me know in the comments what flavor combo you used and how you liked it!
